Day of Defeat (DoD) is an online FPS game based on fictional World War II scenarios during the Battle for Europe in 1943-44. It revolves around infantry street combat with a mix of territorial combat and objective-based assaults with a strong emphasis on teamplay.
DoD has a strong, friendly community and new players are always welcomed - however there's a lot to the game and it can be daunting at first (or even if you've been playing for ages) when you are surrounded by experienced players.
