PlusNet, Referrals and You & Me
In July 2005, I moved my broadband internet subscription to PlusNet to take advantage of their very reasonably-priced Broadband Premier service. At the time, I was with Eclipse Internet and was paying £24 per month for a 512k connection; I'm now paying £20 a month for 8Mb - for less money I'm now connected at sixteen times the speed!
If you live in the UK and are thinking about signing up for broadband, or are with another broadband ISP, I thoroughly recommend you take a look at what's being offered by PlusNet - you might save yourself some money, and what's more you might save me some too!
That's right - if you sign up for PlusNet broadband you can save me money by making a referral - i.e. saying that I told you about them. In return, PlusNet give me a small discount off my monthly fee, and once you're signed up you can do it too, resulting in more savings!
OK, this may sound like completely shameless advertising, but it's not all about the money. I'm genuinely very happy with PlusNet's services; the price and features of their broadband packages are excellent and their customer service is superb (e.g. I emailed them about my speed regrade being completed ahead of schedule, and they activated the higher speed and replied within four minutes).
There are a lot of good ISPs out there and it can be very difficult to choose - but if you want my advice go with PlusNet (they do free setup and migrations too, incidentally, and moving to them couldn't be easier).
Interested? Take a look at the different options you have from PlusNet - I don't think you'll be disappointed. And if you do decide to sign up, don't forget you can earn me a referral during the signup process by citing my username when asked for a referral name: mcbrien.plus.net
